While the development team has been hard at work on the 2014 version of BigTime, we’ve already started to roll out a few functional updates to the time billing software that we think you’ll like.
Later this week — you’ll see the BigTime screens change. Don’t worry! You aren’t seeing things… We’re just starting our phased implementation of the new UI! Here are a couple of highlights to this week’s release:
Initial Branding Changes
You aren’t seeing things! This next release features some color and font changes that we know you will love. Following the change to the color schemes, you will see additions to the dashboard and system menus, as well as some of the other screens which have already received customer raves in previews.
Better Picklist Searching
This new update will allow you to seach your project, labor code and other picklists ANYWHERE in the picklist value. Before the update, your entries matched up against ONLY items that started with the value you entered.
Printed Expense Reports
We’ve had a couple of requests for printed expense reports that the user can access — so we’ve added that feature to the “expense 2.0” expense report list. There is a print icon next to every submitted expense report to make printing out a PDF of that report simple.
Our review/approval process is still in beta form, but we’ve made a number of the changes you asked for. If you are interested in review/approval in BigTime — check out the link in the Clients/Staff section.
Search/Filter for Labor/Expense Codes
We’ve added the ability to search and filter your expense and labor codes, and we’ve added links to the project’s various picklist values (eg – status codes, departments, etc) to the pick lists themselves. So, administrative users can drill right through to a settings page from the picklist they are trying to update.
BigTime Mobile + Andriod
The award-winning Mobile TimeSheet App now has an android companion, and you can download either the iPhone or android version from the Time/Expense area of the system.
In addition, starting with this new release, you can download those mobile apps directly from the login page if you are browsing from your mobile phone.
